Pastor: Fr. Paul MacNeil

I was appointed as pastor of Our Lady of the Scapular parish in November 2015 and I am delighted to be here. Before that, I was pastor of St. Ann's parish in Fenwick Ontario, a small but loving community about 30 minutes from here. I was born and raised in St. Catharines and ordained to the priesthood in 1999. Currently I am Chair of the Niagara Catholic District School Board and I'm working on my PhD in Religious Studies at McMaster University. As your pastor, my first priority is just to listen, to get to know you and understand the best way for me to serve you and to bring you closer to each other and to God through Christ.

Regular Services Available to the Community:
Food bins and donation envelopes are located at all entrances of the church. All food items and money donated are available to members of the community in need. All food items are placed in our pantry in the Parish Hall.
Those requiring food assistance call the Central Line number 905 374-7070 for SVDP in Niagara Falls. They are then connected with the appropriate SVDP conference, of which there are three, in the city. Food items from our pantry in the Parish Hall, grocery store vouchers and/or bus passes are provided based on needs.

During the Christmas holiday season, services are expanded to provide Christmas boxes filled with various items such as food, gift cards, socks, hats, toiletries and other winter accessories. Volunteers organize and assemble the boxes in the Parish Hall and recipients in need pick them up in the hall.

Current Needs:
We appreciate the response to our request for most needed food items. We ask that you please do not place expired food in the food baskets as it cannot be passed on. Thank you. In the spirit of Lenten Almsgiving, if you are able to help those looking for food assistance, our food pantry is in need of:
· Pancake Mix & Syrup
· Canned Fruit / Vegetables
· Pork & Beans
· Pasta Sauce
· Tuna
· Peanut Butter
· Jam
