Faith First

Kingdom Come Summer Camp is a fun place to grow in the Catholic Faith. We offer prayer, games, singing, simple faith instruction, a weekly opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and daily Mass.

HEALTH and SAFETY including
CODE OF CONDUCT

All Kingdom Come Summer Camp staff will be trained in first aid.  Also, we will comply with all provincial regulations for day camps and places of worship. Camper and staff safety is our utmost priority; as such, we will communicate any changes in guidelines in a clear and timely manner.  Health and Safety refers to the conduct, actions, and behaviour of all who take part in camp: we have a ZERO-TOLERANCE policy against bullying, violence, harassment of any kind, racism, stealing, vandalism, and drugs or alcohol on camp property. Failure to comply with the rules truly puts other campers at risk, thus, for the safety of all, offenders can be asked not to return to camp.  If the need arises to remove a camper, parents are responsible for picking up their child within 3 hours of notification.

CELL PHONE POLICY

We understand that cell phones and devices bring comfort and security by allowing campers to be able to communicate with their parents and guardians should there be an emergency. However, PLEASE BE ADVISED that we are a tech-free camp and we will never ask campers to use their devices for any planned activities. As such, we do NOT take responsibility for any lost or damaged devices.  Cell phones can and will be confiscated for the day if seen in use during the camp.  Furthermore, campers are prohibited from photographing or recording fellow campers and staff during camp hours, especially without consent. Campers who are caught doing so (and posting on social media) can face expulsion from camp. It is recommended (in order to resist the temptation to do any of this) that campers leave their devices at home.  Parents/ Guardians can contact camp staff and administration through the office line or by submitting a Parental Note at the beginning of the day.

LATE ARRIVAL or ABSENT FOR THE DAY?

We totally understand... We have our days also.  Tired, not feeling well, doctors appointments, spur of the moment family outing, accidentally slept-in because camp was so amazingly-exhausting the day before (😁)... we totally understand.  We take daily attendance in the morning when the whistle blows assuming that we will see all of our beloved campers.  If you know that your camper will be late or absent:

PLEASE, PLEASE phone and LEAVE A VOICEMAIL with the camp administrators ahead of time (before 9am) – 905-358-7611

(647-981-5315 Camp Director’s cell phone)

Please note: We do not refund for absent or late days. See below for further refund policy information.

Special Events

Once each week, camp will have a bouncy Castle.  On Thursday at pick up, Kingdom Come Summer Camp will host a BBQ and all parents are invited.  Parents are also invited to join us during daily Mass.
